LIFE CONCERT RAWKED!!!

LIFE CON '05 RAWKZ!!! *grinz*
man, all our hard work, sweat, lack of sleep and fervent prayer has paid off... *:)* would like to report that there were at least 6 salvations and 27 rededications... *:)* kewl, huh? well, i'm just full of joy 'cause my classmate, Jeremy and beloved BWENDDARRR accepted Christ!! *:D* yeah... man, don't know if anyone can understand my emotions...

anyway, the concert went on pretty smoothly... *:)* thanks to first of all, PaPaGod... Good management aka Mentor Shirley... the powerful Ps Joshua... the dynamitic Band... the awesome Sound... the super enthu LIGHTS COM... the friendly Ushers... the hardworking Logistics Com... the lazy Slackers Com... and last but NOT least, the Multimedia Comm!!! *grinz*
yeah... everything was just SO kewl... *:)* the entire auditorium just rawked!!! am so glad that some of my friends came... *:)* hope they enjoyed the concert... but most of all, i pray that they were blessed by it... *:)*

well, i learnt something during the concert... Andrew Fam just rawks at doin projection!! there sorta was a moment whereby the screen would suddenly just irritatingly blank out and i initially thought that it was due to a loose cable... so we tightened the screw but... yeah... the problem wasn't solved until my wonderful co-partner decided to try using the school's projector cable... within about ten seconds, he just swapped the cable and the rest of the night went on without a glitch! yeah... so kewl, huh? *:O* totally admire him... *:)* my true 'Shi Fu' worz... hehez... *:D*

o0oh! something else i discovered!!! Evangeline[our dear 'lil P&W leader], Choo Qi[2nd keyboardist] & Joni[1st keyboardist] are SO mean!!! dey tricked me larh!! bluffed me about the Band's dresscode... -.-''' dunno what SCHOOL UNIFORM AND KNEE-HIGH NET STOCKINGS WITH GURLS HAVING WHITE SCARFS AND PINK POLKADOTS AND GUYS HAVING GREEN SCARFS AND PURPLE POLKADOTS!!! -.-''' i actually believed them larh... i was seriously thinking that SFC's dress sense is like... so disgusting larh... *pukez* oh, well...
anyway... other than that, they're rather kewl people... *:)* still remember some of the sillie keyboard-side jokes... hehez... Daniel's "Saggums"... *gRoSsIfIeD*

well, after the concert, chatted with CGL Lukas, had debrief and prayer and clearing up, then DINNER!!! hehe... took us quite long to decide where to go... SFC Pres. Jonathan Tan finally settled for Harbour Front's Macs... *:P* mmm... kinda glad that I went... *:)* got to chat with Derek/Derrick[frm Cat. High] for a while... *:)* [so sorri i dunno hwta spell!! *paiseh*] mmm... enjoyed picking at Saw Hoon's food, listening to the coversations around me... THEN Daddy says i gotta go home... no fair... Brother got to stay out longer... he has a later curfew... and anyway, i was to have two important Pre-U Sem interviews to conduct with my team[which we DID] today... *:P*unfair! *sigh* oh, well...

O0oh... let me share a little about the interviews today!!! first one was at 9am, Mr Nigel Phang... Director of Human Resource, International Enterprise Singapore... The interview went on pretty well... he was friendly, responding to what we asked and was even well prepared with a slide show presentation to answer our questions!! he didn't HAVE to go through all that trouble, you know... anyway, overall, it was fruitful... *:)* the only thing is that the interview lasted slightly over 2 hours!! yeah... pretty long, i would say... *:P*

nXt, the team went to Bugis Junction for lunch... *:)* hehe... then to The Coffee Bean to discuss what we gathered... by the time we ended discussion, it was already 12 and that meant it would be meaningless to go back to school for any lectures... eventually, we found ourselves with three hours of nothing to do... so many things[like arcading & pooling] we wanted to do yet was restricted by the school uniform we wore... *bleahz!* *:P* well, then the five of us[ms cher hadta run some errands] all trooped to the Giant Supermarket... hehe...

kinda amusing but anyway, we actually SHOPPED and by the time we finished, it was just in time to meet Ms Cher for our nXt interview at 4pm... this time, it was a female, Ms Tricia Huang... Deputy Director of the Ministry of Trade and Industry... well, i would say that she's pretty young to be holding such a high post... we speculate that she's a scholarship receipient, that's why... but anyway, this interview was... well, too formal for my liking... well, perhaps in comparison to the one with Mr Phang[who by the way, allowed us to call him Nigel], it seemed
pretty tense... ok, actually, the impression she gave me was that she wasn't eXactly expecting US. her first sentence when she entered the room was: "You all are so young"... i think she was eXpecting J2s or maybe her secretary didn't inform her that it was US who would be coming... that aside, her answers to our questions were mainly textbook answers and she was careful, yet polite not to make any comments or eXpress her own opinion... so, in a way, the interview was not as fruitful as the one before... nevertheless, it was interesting and kewl to meet someone holding such power... *:)*

by the way, did i mention the sillie things that happened during the interviews?
first interview sillie thing #1, my stomach growled TWICE and it was so loud that Huric, MayHwee and Ms Cher heard it!! i wonder about Mr Phang because he was nearer to me than Huric was to me!!! oh, dear...
first interview sillie thing #2, KyawKyaw forgot to switch his hp to silent mode and it rang!!! seemed like a MAJOR boo boo but Mr Phang graciously pretended as if nothing happened... *whew*
second interview sillie thing #1, going through the security sensors in order to allow us entry into the Treasury building... the girls, KyawKyaw & Ms Cher all went through problem-free... as for Darryl & Huric... *beep-beep-beep* went the sensor... uh oh... *tsk tsk tsk* i had gone in just before them so i turned round to assess the situation! *chey* ur belts larh... so guess wad the two sillie guys did? they started removing their belts and then they walked through, only to meet an amused security officer's face, telling them they didn't have to strip... -.-''' hahaz... oh,
well... *:P*
second interview sillie thing #2, #3 & #4, DARRYL!!! aiyoh... this guy was hearing things! seated on his left was KyawKyaw and on his right was our interviewee, Ms Huang... of all things he THOUGHT he heard, it was [SUPPOSEDLY] KyawKyaw's ungrowling stomach!! apparently he found it amusing and get this straight, GIGGLED each time he "heard" it!! by the second time he laughed, the interviewee turned to him and he, through fits of giggles, "eXplained" his reason for giggling... she gave a polite laugh and offered him the coffee/milo that was in the meeting room... he declined... well, that was alright until the last time he laughed again... was trying really hard to suppress it so the constipated look on his face made ME and all those on the opposite side of the table[which were the females...] giggled... even Ms Huang... oh, well... Darryl, ah, Darryl... Didn't it occur to you that those sounds COULD be coming from either YOUR OWN tummi or perhaps that of Ms Huang?!!! hahaz... man... dunno if i should thank him for lightening the mood of the interview or strangle him for giving Ms Huang the impression that we're just a bunch of immature kids... *sigh*
oh, well... she'll be meeting another batch of JC students from Serangoon, i think... should be JC2s... better behaved, i believe... hope they have a better eXperience than what we had!! gotta go... eXhausted... buaiz!!! *:P*
