haha. it's always the same. suddenly everyone will disappear and my DaJie will ask me to help her with something downstairs. and the lights are off before i enter the room.

but this year was different.
all my peeps wore ORANGE to church!!! haha. real awesome. thanks Jie! :))

i don't usually like celebrating any event mine. always find that i don't know how to react. haha. but last Sunday was okay, i guess. attempted to smile? heh. I've got a feelnig DaJie still thinks i've got that spastic look on my face when i smile. cant help it! *whines* been like that since young. don't believe? i'll show ya the pics one day. haha.

i think i shouldn't study at home. for those who've been over before, you would know that my home ALWAYS has a stockpile of food. - SNACKS, to be exact. and greedyme has been reducing that inventory like nobody's business. UGH. doesn't help that there's no more PE so i have to exercise at my own time(wish there was PE) on my own(lonelyme) at my own pace(slow). [which i did after much procastination, 6 laps round the school track and i got stung by a bee on the shoulder. >.<] anyway, i've gained a whopping 2kg with all the oreocookie-ing, honeystar-ing, kinderbueno-ing, leftoverhotcrackersfromCCKanniversaryi-ng, seaweed-ing, timtam-ing, mangopudding-ing, birthdaycake-ing, wormlikesweets-ing, somenutflavouredthing-ing, mueslibar-ing.. and the list goes on. hehugh. i want my flabs back!! wish i could rewind back to 4 months ago when i could still wear my -ugh- girly clothes without feeling like paubarkchung. *sigh*

why my phone became non-functional last month.

okay, so noone has actually really BUGGED me to tell them why my phone was unusuable but since one dear friend did, and that dear friend is important enough, i shall spill the beans! not much news, really.. haha..

anyway, so why couldn't i just conveniently get the problem rectified at the servicing centre?

well..it's too ex!! haha.. i told ya i'm stingy with myself.. >.< (also, i can't trade in the Mitsubishi M350 because its umm.. in a BAAAD condition..heh..)

yup.. so initially i was thinking of borrowing a friend's extra phone in the meantime.. then my mum reminded me that i could actually get a new phone by August! haha.. so it was just a month plus of using my church friend's phone until the 14th August.. was just getting the hang of using my friend's phone so it was an sudden 'parting' but hey, getting a phone of my own's waay better.. :D

then came the dilemma of which phone to get.. was looking at either the v3 or v3x(3g).. haha.. and i settled for the LATTER.. :) Took really long to decide as the factors to consider were too many.. fat larh, heavy larh, 3g not 3g larh, EXPENSIVE larh, memory space larh, camera resolution larh.. haha.. but yeah, after MUCH deliberation and opinion-seeking, i eventually settled for a CompactPumpkin v3x.. it's more or less ORANGE(my FAVE colour)!! so that's a plus point.. haha.. (trying to distract myself from the painful cost..)

ANYWAY, quite weird but the packages for all the other colours of this phone(Ash,Blue,Pink&Black) came with an extra battery & charger except mine! oh, well.. feel cheated? haha.. aiyah.. i don't think i need the extras ba.. moreover CompactPumpkin was launched later than the rest and since Motorola wants it that way.. :P

whatever it is, one thing's for sure.

the battle

between my pocket and my sister and mummy rages.i need to get a new handphone. and this is a need. why i can't use the old one, i shall explain another time if enough people bug me, but anyway, it is a NEED.

so the problem now's that my darling family's encouraging me to get a 3G phone. BUT IT'S SO EXPENSIVE!!! yeah. was initially just looking at the $68 motorola v3. heh. good on the pocket especially since i'm sure i'll get a little birthday cash to pay off some of it.

but then, i've been strongly advised to get the $198 motorola v3x 3G instead. WAH!!! that's a difference of A HUNDRED AND THIRTY DOLLARS leh!! heard that the functions are better and there's more memory space, though. so, what should i do? ugh.

stay tuned. maybe i'll tell you the decision when i finally get a phone. and then, if enough people bug me, i'll tell the story of how my phone became unusable. nothing really interesting, though. haha. just dumb.

recentlyokay, just since after promos last year, i've been having this thought in my head that tells me that maybe i'm not meant for JC. maybe i would've done better in Poly. i realise that i find much more joy in handling projects & presentations & hands-on-stuff rather than mugging. ugh.

but i guess it's too late.

why i couldnt wake up yesterday and had to cancel tuition.

went for SAJC's annual dance concert, Rapture@Esplanade, on friday. started at 2000, ended past 2230. was awesome. my Mello was dancing her best, real prouda her. =]impressed by the eighteen dances. each one told a different story and the movement with the audio enhancement befitted the mood. the student choreographers are not too bad either. alumni was good, as were the guest performances by Temasek Junior College and NUS. What Mel said about the Temasek JC dancers are true!! they really are largely uniformed in their looks. freaky. the item by NUS was in-ter-est-ing, though. didn't understand why they started stripping from work attire right down to their undergarments. those by SA dancers/alumni that really caught my eye are Made in Sin, the one choreographed by Kelly, the finale by Zaki & the five ex-presidents. anyway, most delighted to see my Mello there. she was absolutely sharp in her steps despite missing some crucial dance practs so i must say, WELL DONE GURL!! =]haha. now that the concert's over, she'd have more time to mug. hope she joins me in MSP. we'll mug together, k? love her. =]

didnt think that anyone would've noticed..but anyway, today marks the sixteenth day death anniversary of my dearly beloved favourite hamster Pip. he was my preferred as he didn't bite me. maybe i've spoilt him and caused his death. he was one plump hamster for his size. when trying to analyze the reasons for his sudden unexpected departure, my friend told me that the humans shouldn't eat so much as it will cause them to die earlier; ditto hamsters. so, maybe it was my fault.

was quite upset about Pip's death. i was going to the cage to feed him and as usual, my goal was to open the cage with minimal disturbance, remove the bottles for refilling and spill in the food before either Pip or Squik woke up. well, actually i've only succeeded once. and that was when i was doing Pip's cage. but anyway, on that saturday, Pip didn't even stir after my ritual. thought that i was getting super good at being quiet. then i completed the routine by peeking into the cage to see hm sleeping in his little corner. then, i realised his chest wasn't moving, wasn't breathing. i panicked. started to blow air in the body's direction to wake the sleepyhead up. tried shifting the cage to shake him up. then about a minute later, i realised something was really wrong. was saddistraught. really didn't see that coming. when i lifted the cage up to take a good look at him, it hitnudged me that he was dead.

went to mum to tell her. don't know if she could see i was upset. haha. she told me to clear the cage and throw the body away in the rubbish chute. if i had a choice, i would've opted a nicer funeral; maybe bury him in a backyard and place a "+" twig over the site. but living on the sixteenth floor in a HDB flat has its drawbacks. so i cleared everything up and settled it with the chute. i think Pip died in his sleep. his eyes were closed. that's a huge relief to me. would probably have many sleepless nights if they weren't.

a week and a half later when my mum helped me purchase food for Squik, she asked if i've fed her with the not-yet-run-out packet. i answered "no" from my room and i think that kinda annoyed my 'lil sister 'cos she made a remark like "are they even alive?" or something like that. haha. then i got irritated and started scolding her(sorry meimei, didn't realise then that you were unaware..). i think i hadn't gotten over Pip's death yet, then. think it hadn't even hit me that he's gone. yeah. oh, well. then later that afternoon, dad came to me and said that he didn't know about Pip's death. he was really nice about it and even offered to pray with me. but i just thanked him and turned the offer down. still don't know why i did that but maybe i thought i'd get over it my way instead.

but i guess i'm aiight now. i washed up Squik's cage today. spent a whole hour on it. haha. wanted to make it perfect, y'know. haha. yeah. i'm aiight now.

i wished that Pip would've just 'hung in there' a month more. he and Squik were a birthday present from a dear friend three years ago. it's funny how time flies. that person was a really close friend to me. could talk about lotsa stuff and he'd write some interesting fiction that we'd exchange just for reads/just for laughs. he did pretty well for the 'O's, got 9points, initially wanted to go to Poly to study to be an optometrist, later realised he actually if he wanted to, he'd have to take 'A' level Biology. went off to JJ. we promised to alternate calling every week. i can't remember now whether it was him or i who missed a turn. anyway, back then jc life'd just started and for me settling in to the college lifestyle was a mad rush; i was probably the one who forgot to call. resorted to keeping in touch by chatting on MSN but that didn't quite work out. we were either take turns to be busy or i when i felt the both of us were finally free to chat, i didn't know what to say. there were times when i felt that calling him would just be a waste of time and i didn't want to disturb him from mugging. eventually, just managed to keep the last thread of connectivity by updating him on my hammies once in a while. initially when Pip died, i was at a loss 'cos that would mean we'd not even have ANYTHING to talk about. but well, i'm aiight now. :l

i'm moving house!!!!

well, at least some time this year, anyway.. the apartment that we're living in right now's too expensive so we've kinda gotta downsize..

but no worries, the house that we've found's real neat. i like it that it's just 5mins away from the MRT, 5mins away from the nearest mall, 5mins away from the Community Centre, 5mins away from a bball/badminton court, 5mins away from the newly constructed Civil Servant's Centre.

hey, but that just sounds SO familiar. isn't that like, near where you already are staying? WAHAHAHAHA. YES! i'm moving house.

to the one exactly three floors down.

haha. it's smaller(and at a lower level) but still has ALL the facilities/amenities/comvenience that i've been enjoying all this while. so, THANK YOU PAPAGOD!!! i know the family's been praying hard, especially mummy! *muahcks* although the we're selling ours at a loss and the price of the one we're getting is a little steep, i think it's most important to have faith. :)

the whole family shall be in agreement and at peace with the decision made, Amen.
