EIGHT IS GOOD... *:P*

boo! *grinz*
hehe... i know i haven't been blogging in quite a while... really sorry!!

kinda caught up with school work and Pre-U Sem... but i'm not complaining... *:)* it IS fun and a privilege to be participating in this pretty prestigious event... *:)* mmm... the main bulk of the work is done BEFORE the actual camp, though... that explains the weekly Wednesday meetings i have after school... *:P* well, basically there's not really much to do now but to prepare the 15mins presentation our SAJC team will be presenting to the other JCs... in a way, it is pressurising because other school's may be sending JC2 students so we might look immature beside them? well, i hope not... because i know that everyone is putting in lotsa effort into the Presentation AND the Case Study... *:P*

well, anyway, HIGHLIGHT of today, 29th April 2005...[Oh! by the way, it's Ian Lau's birthday!! So let me digress a little... HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO IAN!! *grinz*] okay, back to what i was saying, it was SAJC's Sport's Day today!! yeah!! haha... i almost forgot about it until last night when my class rep asked me whether she should bring the House-Tee or PE attire... well, anyway, i was so stoned last night doing my Chinese Compo!! Spent a few hours on it because i wanted to give the teacher a good impression... hehe... *:D* one of my New Year Resolution's to not be blacklisted by my Chinese tutor!! *bleahz!* *:P*

o0opz! i've strayed away from my main topic again!! *yikez* okay. about the Sport's Day events, they were reduced to just two events. The first, an inter-class[eXcept classes with no enough girls or guys...] 10 x 200m relay... So each class is to send five girls and five guys to run...
05S54's team included: Roxanne, SheMin, Diana, Suhaila, Louis, XinYu, Kel Ley, Kenneth & Teenesh[our team Captain], and our reserves, KangTing[who did run after all...], Jeremy & Nicholas... *:)*
the second event's a teacher's relay race too... don't know the distance they covered, though... *:P*

well, our class trashed all our competitors in the heats... Owe most of it to Roxanne & SheMin who helped us gain the lead... The guys weren't any slow either... They helped the team sustain the gap between them and the runner behind them...
FANTASTIC JOB, GUYS[+GURLZ...]!!
unfortunately, one of our treasured members sprained her ankle and we had to call in the reserve... perhaps our spirits dipped a little and we did not seem as confident as before, however, it was during this time when i truly saw the unity and "looking out for one another"-spirit in the team... everyone was encouraging each other... [yes! even the guys!] & Melody, being her usual bubbly, caring self, got some of our classmates down from the Sports Gallery to cheer us up & help us get drinks... *:)*

when the results were announced that 05S54 made it into the A-Division, we were still *blur blur*... Didn't know how many more races we were to have... but we just ran our hearts out, competing with the other top 7 teams... *:P* It was really cool that our senior class, 04S54 was there cheering so loudly for us... really brought smiles to the faces of the team... *:)*
well, the importance of encouragement.
mmm... well, during the finals we did not do as well, given the fact that we had a not so good lane... [yeah! Roxanne hurt her knee while running because of the cracks on the track! i think she might have "half-stepped" into a hole...] also, we were feeling fatigue from the previous race... but we tried our best to complete the race... in the end, we emerged last...

but one thing i have to say is that:
"through the entire eXperience, we may have encountered a short-term loss. but we surely had a long-term gain..."
as my friend mentioned in a text message:
"Success is the measure of effort, not result..."

haha... i forgot to say that although we emerged 8th, we still received a medal each for being one of the top runners in the school... *:D* yeah... kewl, huh? *grinz*

O0oh... back to more serious stuff... have gotta do my Preliminary Ideas for Project work now... *sigh* something i don't enjoy especially when my head does not seem to be full of ideas at the moment... oh, well... above all the Pre-U Sem preparations, piling tutorials and jitterbugs i'm feeling regarding the Interviews for Students' Council, there IS something to look forward to! YES!! this coming Wednesday, 05S54's senior class will be meeting up with us to reveal the Angels to the Mortals!! yeah, man... hahaz... wonder how my Mortal is like in person... he/she seems sweet from the replies i've received... *:P*

alright... i have to stop procastinating! going back to do work after i ask a favour of those who love me... hehe... *:D* please pray for me as i go for the interview on Thursday, 5th May... Have to report to the venue at 5.20pm but my interview slot's only scheduled to take place at 7.15pm! yeah... think i might be nervous, nearing that time but for now, please don't forget me! hehe... yeah... better go!! take kare, my dear friends... God Bless & Good Nitez... *:)*
