anthea~*: ello!! *grinz* heh.. a BIT long larh..so i can see more posts from my wonderful taggers!! *:P*
albin~*: uh-oh..umm..u are? *paiseh*
carol~*: O0oh.. heh.. the post? well, it says as it says!! i've fallen in lyk.. *:P* with the kids from Sonshine Childcare Centre.. hehe.. *sheepish grin*
was CIPing that week and i was attached to the 4-yr olds.. *:)* a wonderful eXperience.. almost the same routine every day of the week but still enjoyable.. *:P* kkayy.. will tell you what it was like over there..
every morning at 7+ or eight, the children from ages 2-6 will come to the centre for breakfast.(if they have not already had it at home..) then they get to play toys, have assembly and attendance-taking before lessons start.
i was with Nursery2(Joy) & Nursery2(Love).. one class will first have math while the other will have chinese(they alternate later).. nothing much to do during this time eXcept watch and learn how the teachers handled a noisy, "short-attention span"ed bunch of kids.. *:P*
after that, they get to go outdoors! one of their favourite times.. mmm..but this is when i see their naughty side.. they'll fight to hold my hand and eventually i have to tell them to move away and get back in line.. mmm.. then i'll pity the smaller children and hold their hand 'cause we sometimes have to cross streets.. well, places we visit: two playgrounds, an area where there's sand to play with, the void deck under a nearby block.. heh.. talk about going wild!! they'll run about until their uniforms are soaked with perspiration! haha.. but oh, well.. they're children.. *:)*
then its BATH-TIME. yup..the chinese teacher will bathe the kids and my duty is to umm..help them dry up and put on their shirts, blouses and occasionally a few shorts.. *paiseh*
O0oh.. aniwei, let me tell you this silly thing that happenened!!
i was drying Matthew, the last boy from N2Joy.. still remember.. he was wearing a red shirt with blue sleeves.. heh.. then when his class was done, i was about to leave with them for lunch but Chen Lao Shi(the chinese teacher) asked me to help with N2Love.. so i stayed back.. mmm.. then i remember after helping Elicia put her blouse on, Matthew came up to me again, holding his towel and bag and was waiting for me to help put his clothes on!! *yikez!* was kinda surprised.. i was like, didn't i just change you a while ago? *:S* but since he came to me unchanged, i repeated the process of adjusting the red shirt such that he could wear it properly.. yup.. went to supervise the children's without thinking much of it..
i made sure that after they finished their food, they returned their plate to the tray and they could each have a slice of apple.. then that cheeky Matthew took TWO pieces! aiyoh.. such a sweet angelic face, yet so greedy..
heh.. was onli after lunch, nap time, lesson time, play-toys time and when we came to telly-time(here's when all classes come together), did i realise
*argh* MAAN, it was SO embarrassing larh!! dunno why i always malu myself.. especially infront of guys.. haha.. oh, well.. *:P*
yup.. so basically, that's pretty what the kids have everyday eXcept for friday.. they have what they call "Happy Time" when there's Praise & Worship and then a Bible story and some games.. umm.. yeah.. Ms Liu threw a bombshell at me.. i mean, i didn't mind watching the kids as they nap, reading to them, getting them to recite the chinese poems, making sure they learn their math and can write their names but.. to ask me to do Bible Story telling infront of the N1s &N2s?!!! i haven't eXactly tried that before.. *bleah* but umm.. my mouth worked quicker than my brain and i found myself saying okay, i'll try.. *:S* heh.. Ms Liu gave me a "lesson plan".. it was an A4 sized paper that fundamentally said i was to tell the story: "David and Goliath".
wow.. okayy.. at least there's a visual aid i could use(the picture Bible).. yup.. heh.. onli had 2hours to prepare myself for it so i did what i do best when faced with this kinda situation.. *:P* i prayed!! hehe.. QUITE a few times before i felt ready to go through the story..
well, to cut this long post short, PaPaGod made EVERYTHING go smoothly.. *:)*
ahh..
the joys of having Him in my life.
