update on the education aspect of my life
praying for what i’m going to do for my tertiary education.
(yes, i still do not know)
one part of me really wants to get into this particular course.
but if that’s not part of His plan yet, i’m not gonna push it.
if all efforts end up with an unsuccessful application,
i won’t be too disappointed.
‘cos the experience that i went through
during the process of applying for it
taught me a great deal
and i’m really just so grateful for my family.
(and i can also just retake some exams and apply with a better grade)
heh, i don’t wanna talk too much about what i’m applying for yet
‘cos what i rather write is a praise report
when my prayers are answered.
*smiles*

last day of work:
TOMORROW.
so fast and it's been almost four months.
today's the second last day of work.
and so i decided to wear contact lenses instead of specs.
heh. was it a good decision?
anyway, it was kinda funny ‘cos
my supervisor told me i look blur without my specs.
haha. perhaps.
haven't been without my specs since prom, see.
that's probably why i look (and feel) kinda stoned.
well, it’s my last day tomorrow.
a guy asked me out for lunch!
whee~
aiight, it was just my supervisor.
(who is already attached, mindyoume)
and it’s probably a corporate thing.
haha.
that was written just for the suspense of my blog readers.
(right. as if i have that many. :P)
sigh~
i'm gonna miss working there.
i’ve been really blessed
with a great working environment,
friendly colleagues,
reasonable pay.
but oh, well.
some change is good.

Come Home Running - Chris Tomlin
oh ♥ of mine
why must you stray
from one so fair
you ran away
and one more time
you have to pay
the heaviness
of needless shame
oh ♥ of mine
come back home
you've been too long
out on your own
and He's been there
all along
watching for
you down the road
chorus:
so come home running
His arms are open wide
His name is Jesus
He understands
He is the answer
you are looking for
so come home running
just as you are
oh child of God
so dearly loved
and ransomed by
the Saviour's blood
called by name
daughter and son
clothed in the robe
of righteousness
beautiful lyrics.
heard the song last friday when i went back for SAJC's Life Concert 2007.
my sister got the tickets from my friend and, yeah.
beautiful lyrics. :))

overdue post!
on the 2rd March 2007,
[i know, i know.. it's like, SUPER overdue larh!]
i went shopping!
[whee~ first time worzzz. well, sorta..]
haha. :D
at bras basah
[a place of pain. *groans*]
with my very tall girl friend and my not so tall boy friend.
[lovely people, they are..]
mission:
to get a nice Bible. :))
[settled on the classic NIV one. softcover, though.]
mission status:
accomplished.
[after spending like, 1 hour there?]
process:
i couldn't resist picking up a bunch of nice stickers and bookmarks and pass-it-on cards while i was there.
[heh, since when could i, anyway? :P]
adventure after:
i fell on my bum.
FOUR(or was it five?) times.
tripped at first, caught my balance.
and then i fell at the next step.
[oh, the embarrassment.]
-that was before dinner-
-and later after dinner,-
on the way back to the car
i tripped along another flight.
um, that one,
i slipped
and tripped
and landed on my bum.
three times.
consecutively.
[grr. it must be the lousy design of the staircases there. heh. especially since it was raining. and the floor was....*nagnagnag* haha. :P]
outcome:
a big triangle blueblack on my bum/thigh.
[*ouch* it hurted for two weeks. and i'm not kidding, it really was a triangle. not the 60o/angle kinda triangle, but those that could have Pythagoras' Rule applied to them, kinda triangle. bah.]
haha. oh, well.
see la! whose fault?
mine lorh.
who ask me wear frictionless-soled-sneakers on a wet rainy day?!!
and not learning my lesson even after falling down once.
hah.
oh, well.
what an adventure i had, that day. :P

my priorities were messed up.
now they're rearranged.
i want to do what HE would want me to do.
i want to love my FAMILY in tangible and intangible ways.
i want to give my all in my STUDIES if i'm given a second shot.
i want to glorify HIM in all i do.
for that's my purpose for living.

it's been almost a week since the little girl left the office.
feels kinda weird 'cos she was my favourite lunch partner.
(she's the only other female temp here ah!)
no one to talk nonsense with.
(you know how serious the guys can be..)
no one to listen rave about 小猪 anymore.
(maybe i should be content with Jolin Tsai..haha!)
no one to do paper stapling and stamping and photocopying and scanning and shredding with
(remember how we did the announcements in record time? remember our pieces of paper art?)
aiyoh..
little girl ah!
missing you la..
but i'm happy as long as you're happy.
-huggs
WAYYY COOOOL!!! haha. uh, well, if you're not afraid of dying. :P
the office building i was in experienced the tremours.
the first time i wasn't paying much attention.
i was just coming back from buying back lunch with my colleage.
who knew?
when we came back, we saw the other permanent staff from our floor at the foyer,
telling us about the quake, advising us not to go up yet.
but the guy with me was hungry, i think.
tried looking for place to sit at LPS so we could eat but it was SO crowded.
eventually came back 'cos it was really too warm to enjoy lunch.
ignored what was going on,
realised that besides the lady who sits behind me at work,
we were the only ones in the office.
think most people were worried that the building'd collapse.
heh.
but there was work to be done.
i could here the sheets of data for entry calling out my name....
YEAH, RIGHT.
haha.
(goodness! i'm sarcastic. that's bad.)
um, anyway, the second wave came and this time i felt it!
the lady behind me was looking at the ceiling and said something so i looked up.
and lo and behold, the lights were swaying!
i thought it was kinda cool.
despite the woozy feeling in my head.
haha.
oh, well.
anyway, another of the permanent staff remarked that at least we'd already had lunch, or we might be hungry ghosts!
aiyoh.
superstition.. >.<

Dooms Day came and went without much hype
I didn't fare well.
Praying for revelation of what to apply for.
Feeling sorry for my family that they have to go through accepting the outcome.
Disappointment with myself.
Promised me to work hard for wherever I will be placed.
